Sitting on the Carlin Nalley Foundation board and working with Jay to organize “Rocking the Foundation,” I have spoken to probably 200 alums about the Lisle High All Years Reunion on Saturday October 7. The reactions are bi-polar. Either;
“Yes I wouldn’t miss it they are a blast”
Or
“Why would I want to go to a reunion? I already hang out with my friends from High School.”
Talking to my wife of 34 years Kathy, who grew up in the city, about this she said, “there is something about the Lisle bond. You run into someone I have never met and you haven’t seen in 40 years from Lisle and it’s like you pick up where you left off.”
There is something unique about growing up in Lisle and going to Lisle High School that, to my knowledge, is rare.
So if you’re on the fence about going or not consider Kathy’s outside perspective. And with alums traveling in from over 30 states you are bound to meet someone you haven’t seen in years and make friends with other classes.
