2020 Grutzmacher Family Alumni Legacy Award Danielle Laue
Hello Mr, Bartels
I would first like to thank you and the rest of the Carlin Nalley Foundation for this amazing scholarship. I cannot thank you enough as this will help tremendously in my future endeavors.
This fall I will be attending the University Of Missouri in Columbia Missouri to major in Print Journalism with a possible minor in Spanish. After the completion of my education, I hope to be working at a big-time fashion magazine such as Vogue, or Seventeen magazine. I plan to use my Spanish skills in traveling to other countries to further my writing career. Although Lisle is home to so many tremendous teachers, my most influential teacher without a doubt would be Mr. Patrick Woyna. Mr. Woyna has had such a great impact on my writing career. Having him both freshmen and junior year, he was the one that truly made me believe I had a bright future in the writing field and I am more thankful for his critique than anything. Lisle High School has provided me with 4 amazing years of memories and experiences. However, I think my most amazing experience at Lisle would be being able to grow closer to the kids I have been with since kindergarten. Lisle is such a small town with a big heart, and everyone truly is like a family. I am beyond thankful for this amazing award and would like to kindly thank the amazing alumni who made it possible. Because of you all, I will be able to put a large amount towards my schooling in the fall. Thank you all for your generosity.
Best,
Danielle Laue
