In 2007 the Carlin Nalley Foundation had reached our five-year anniversary and the $50,000 mark in scholarship awards. With the scholarship portion of our mission progressing nicely, the CNF board turned its attention to the second major objective of the board. Act as a catalyst for a permanent alumni movement to support the scholarship program and tap alumni experience as an enrichment resource for LSHS students.
The idea of holding a celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Lisle Senior High quickly morphed into an All-Years reunion, opening the doors for all alums to join in the celebration. |
AY1 2008The first All-Years reunion was held at the Hilton-Lisle in March, 2008. Over 700 rocked to two live bands, browsed a museum filled with five decades of memorabilia, and a number of classes holding their reunion-within-a-reunion. Local and Chicago media attended the event and the Carlin Nalley Foundation had its official “coming out” party

AY2 2010Just a short two years later, the second All-Years Reunion saw another full house at the Lisle Hilton. Six classes held their reunion in conjunction with AY2, up from four in 2008. More than half of the attendees were not at the original All-Years Reunion, so the Nalley Foundation’s goal of notoriety and alumni support had reached over 1,000 alums and growing.
