The 11th Annual CNF Golf Outting Was A Great Success
Coach & Nancy Nalley address the golfers before tee-off.
A Word from John“Thank you to all of the Lisle Alumni, families, and friends who joined the Carlin Nalley Foundation on Sunday, June 26th for the 11th Annual Carlin Nalley Invitational Golf Outing at River Bend in Lisle. It was a beautiful day, and we were especially honored to have our namesake, Coach Nalley himself, make it to the course for a couple hours and give us a pep talk before we headed out to the course. Congratulations to our winners in the two man scramble: Brad and Scott Long, and the mixed scramble champions, Tim and Connie Krope.

The Carlin Nalley Foundation also thanks our business sponsors and the alumni who could not participate, but donated to our awards fund so that we can continue to grow our scholarships for deserving Lisle High School students. It is a great pleasure to see so many Lisle friends again, and to be part of an active and loyal alumni group from our outstanding high school. We will let you know about future events, including the next golf outing (Sunday, June 25th, 2017) and the All Years Reunion #4 (Saturday, October 7th, 2017). Mark your calendars, and we look forward to seeing all of you again. Go Lions!

A Big Thanks to All of Our Sponsors
Golf outing history, purpose & reason
The Carlin Nalley Foundation sponsored our first golf outing in 2004 with the expressed purpose of raising money to fund the operation and growth of the scholarship program. It was obvious that the five decades of alums were always going to be the lifeblood of the Foundation and events like the golf outing were developed to raise funds and serve the dual purpose of involving the alumni with Foundation events.
The Golf outing is an annual event held at River Bend, the Lisle Park District course approximately one-half mile south of Maple Avenue on Rt. 53. A permanent date has been set, which is always the Sunday after Father’s Day. Because it is a 9-hole course, the golf portion is limited to 72 participants.
Each year, the golf outing is at or near capacity, so early registration through the Nalley Foundation website is always advised. After golf, there’s a cookout and raffle for golfers and non-golfers, too. A great fund-raiser for the Foundation and another wonderful event to connect alumni to our hometown.
