Lisle School Tours
Saturday October 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. All five schools were open to alumni to tour - some for the last time. Groups and individuals came to tour and found friends while walking the halls, gyms and lunchrooms. They shared stories, looked at yearbooks and reminisced about their time at Lisle. Thank you to Dr. Keith Filipiak, school principals, custodial staff and volunteers for making it possible. The Carlin Nalley Foundation wishes to put a BIG "shout out" to those that spent hours working on the events.

Latest Details about the tours:
Hello and thank you for signing up to visit the schools. There is some information to share with you regarding the tours. First, we are calling them tours but they are self guided tours. There will be a volunteer to greet you and you are free to visit most parts of each of the buildings and stay for as long or short of time as you would like between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 am. So visit one school or all five if you care to. Please sign in to each school when you arrive.
Lisle High School - Be aware that there is a cross country meet taking place in the park and parking may be a little tricky. We will be there (in the front entrance), so come and see what's new there.
Meadows - The last chance for you to see it. They will be demolishing it within the next couple months. There will be drawings for you to view of the new PK-5th grade school that will be built on the site of the Meadows to be completed Summer of 2018.
Tate Woods & Schiesher - These two buildings have unknown futures, as the new building will hold all the kids from these two schools. The drawings of the new PK-5th grade school that will be built on the site of the Meadows will be available for you to view.
Jr. High - See you there.
Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!

Just Added! The Meadows School (retired from 202 in the 70s) .
This will be your last opportunity to see the school as it exists as it will be demolished in 2018. Tate Woods Elementary
This will be your last opportunity to see the school as it exists as it will be sold in 2018. Tate Woods Elementary School (built 1959) requires millions of dollars of improvements including the replacement of roofs, replacement of parking lots, replacement of mechanical systems, and general repairs. These dollars do not factor in the cost of much needed educational improvements that would create learning spaces to support future-ready learning and teaching to best prepare students. Lisle Jr. High School
Talk about a flash from the past! The schools have gone through several upgrades, but you can relive great memories.
The tours will run on Saturday October 7 from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Please let us know if you plan on participating. |
Schiesher Elementary
This will be your last opportunity to see the school as it exists. Schiesher Elementary School (built 1956) requires millions of dollars of improvements including the replacement of roofs, replacement of parking lots, replacement of mechanical systems, and general repairs.
