About:
The Carlin Nalley Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that represents Lisle High School alumni. Our mission has 3 parts:
CNF aspires to grow our mission as we increase the value of our scholarship program, and the number of alumni we reach to bring back for our events and enrichment programs. We welcome the participation of Lisle High School alumni and the Lisle community in achieving our mission.
As a graduate of Lisle High School, you are part of a proud tradition of education that goes back over 60 years. The Carlin Nalley Foundation celebrates that experience by providing scholarships to Lisle students and serving as the school’s alumni association.
The foundation was created in 2005 through an initial $60,000 gift from Kurt Grutzmacher, a 1976 graduate who wanted to honor the legendary teacher, coach, athletic director, and superintendent of schools, Carlin Nalley, in a significant way. The Foundation provides academic scholarships, honoring legendary teachers, for the winners of the Thespian Award (Bev Fiore), Science Award (Dr. John Mulcare), Industrial Technology (Ralph King), Brian Piccolo and Babe Zaharias (Rick Beato/Bob Jones) awards, and the newly created Alumni Legacy Award (Grutzmacher Family). While the foundation has been very successful, we aspire to continue to develop the program.
In order to continue inspiring excellence in these academic programs and to help additional deserving Lisle students achieve education beyond high school, we are constantly pursuing funding opportunities. To do so The Foundation has connected alumni through All-Year’s Reunions, award ceremonies, golf, and social outings. We ask you to consider helping the Carlin Nalley Foundation with a financial contribution today.
The Carlin Nalley Foundation is a tax-exempt 501-C3 charity, and any contributions you may be tax deductible our EIN Federal Tax ID # (26-1987884). The Foundation Board has worked hard over the years to make every dollar count. The Board has also covered operating expenses, meaning every dollar you give ends up in a scholarship. Also, if you work for a company that provides charitable matching for your donations, your contributions to the foundation may be effectively doubled by your employer.
If you have any additional questions about how to contribute, please contact Alan Nalley at [email protected]

- Third, we organize events which unite alumni providing opportunities to renew lifelong friendships, to honor alumni service (especially military) and achievements, and to celebrate our common experiences and love for Lisle High School.
