Feeling a bit like Channel 11
You know when you are watching channel 11 and a really good program comes on? A great documentary, a cool band you like, and in the back of your head you think, “should I get into this show? I know they are going to interrupt with several fundraiser pleas.”
During the Carlin Nalley Foundations year-end fundraiser “Partners for Excellence” I was feeling a bit like WTTW. Watching our website traffic grow over the previous 11 months of 2017, and then suddenly the web traffic started going down. Having professional experience in SEO analysis it was not too difficult to trace the downturn to the fundraiser.
It is not particularly easy to ask for donations, and I am so thankful that the Lisle High School Alumni reacted and opened up their wallets to the CNF scholarship cause, to the point that not only did you fund the six existing scholarships, but the board was able to add 2 additional scholarships! Music & educators, more on that subject at another time soon.
Now the good news. Our promise to you…. “There will not be another fundraising drive until December of 2018.” Of course donations are welcome throughout the year, whenever your heart or wallet feels the urge. CNF will be delivering a ton of great news during 2018 including:
