The Lisle Alumni Carlin Nalley Foundation golf outing, a cherished annual tradition, is a testament to our strong community bonds and shared memories.
On Sunday, June 23, 2024, seventy-two golfers will gather again at the River Bend Golf Course, located at 5900 South IL-53 in Lisle, for a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the warm embrace of old friendships. Sign-in begins at 11:30 am, a shotgun start is slated for 1 pm.
 “The annual golf outing, a beloved institution in Lisle, has played a pivotal role in our foundation's journey over the past twenty years,” said John Bartels (’85), President of the foundation. “It’s a key fund-raiser, enabling us to increase our annual scholarship awards significantly. Lisle alums, united in our pride for our alma mater, demonstrate our commitment on the fourth Sunday every June.”
The outing is a two-person scramble format with prizes awarded to the top finishers in the men’s and ladies' divisions. Some contests include closest to the pin and longest drive as part of the event.
After the golf portion is completed, a reception follows at the clubhouse with food, libations, and loads of raffle and silent auction items. The approximate start time for the reception is 4 p.m. It's a great way to end the day.

Lisle High School teacher Vanessa Hardy recently brought her Photography 2 students to Elan Photography. The photography students worked with Bill Buchelt (LHS Class of 1984), gaining hands-on portrait workshop experience.
The students all had the opportunity to learn different lighting techniques and create their own images. The workshop was well received, and the students were incredibly appreciative. “Being able to share my knowledge and to give back to the current students from the school that gave so much to me was a very rewarding experience,” Bill Buchelt shared.
