a. I plan to attend Illinois State University in the fall, majoring in Elementary Education.
b. I am most proud of receiving the Pride of Lions award twice during my high school career. The first time nomination was by my History Teacher and the second nomination was from the Wellness Department by my Interior Design and Food Prep teacher. I was recognized for working hard and turning assignments in on time, and setting a good example to other students.
c. The teacher who was most influential to me was Mrs. Courtney Multhaupt. I had her for Creative Writing and English 3. Mrs. Multhaupt inspired me to do my best by encouraging me when I was struggling at certain times throughout high school. In addition, Mrs. Multhaupt was my Cheer coach for two years. During that time, she nominated me to be Captain of the cheer team. I learned a lot of leadership skills from her inside and outside of the classroom.
d. Upon receiving my Bachelor's degree, I hope to obtain a teaching position at an elementary school in Illinois. In the future, I would also like to get married and have a family of my own.
e. I am very grateful for this scholarship money. Although my parents and I have tried to save since I was little, we do not have enough savings to pay for it all, so I will be taking student loans out to help cover the cost, and this scholarship will definitely help reduce that cost.
Thank you again for awarding me with this scholarship, I am so honored and humbled to receive it!
Kind Regards,
