As part of our continuous improvement commitment to the Carlin Nalley Foundation, we expanded our online giving experience options in November of 2021. This included the option for donators to leave a comment. Here are some of the comments we received over the last 12 months.
Jeff Koldoff, I'd like to honor James Wetterquist - Class of 1978, a classmate whom overcame obstacles, was always positive, excelled academically and passed way too young Karen Vollmar We are so proud of our grandson, Josh Farrell, the kindest and most dedicated student athlete ever. We are lucky to have him and his brothers in our lives! Grampy and Grammy Tina Tommila-Van Tellingen Both myself and my husband are Lisle Lions. All 3 of my kids graduated from LSHS. As did both my nieces and my nephew! One pride! On ye Lions! Stephen Ferrin Dr. John was someone I admired very much. Kevin Freeman Carlin was my cousin. On that side of the family, he was the oldest grandchild, and I the youngest, so he was more of an uncle than a first cousin. In many ways our careers were mirrors of each other separated by 28 years. Biology majors. Teachers. Coaches. Superintendents. Life is strange sometimes. I remember vividly every conversation I had with him, not the words, but the feelings. Carlin always made you feel value and that you were the only person he should be talking to in the moment. RIP. Hugs and prayers for Nancy, Karla, John, and Alan. David Ratzer In memory of Carlin Nalley. A man who was a huge positive influence on thousands of young people. David Gorden In memory of Carlin Nalley Roxanna Esposito My condolences to the family. It was a privilege to know Coach Nalley. Karen Sauer-Franz As a former winner of the Babe Didrickson-Zaharias and Carlin Nalley awards it is an honor and privilege to donate to the foundation in memory of Coach Nalley. I will never forget the wonderful memories my family has had being involved with The Lisle School District and athletic program. My brothers and I all participated in multiple sports, my mom worked at the high school and district office and my dad was a very active member in the Booster club. We will never forget Coach Nalley and the impact he made on our lives and so many other students and athletes. RIP coach |
