I hope that all of you have had a great summer. It was wonderful to see so many of you at the Carlin Nalley Foundation Golf Outing in June. The event was a big success in getting lifelong friends from many eras of Lisle High School graduating classes together for a little friendly competition and camaraderie in our hometown. The outing also raised over $8,000 for the scholarship program, which is a record and will be used to increase our awards for the Class of 2025. Thank you to everyone who attended, especially the alumni and local merchants who donated fabulous raffle and auction prizes. Click here to see a video recap and photos.
“I am very grateful for receiving this award. When my name was called, I was in shock as that $4,500 can help in so many ways to relieve financial stress. I am one of seven siblings so the cost of sending that many students to college can be stressful and overwhelming for myself and my father. My mother passed away this March from cancer, so it feels good relieving some stress on my father's shoulders as it is hard to try to fulfill every one of his kids wants and needs without the help of my mother's salary which he previously had. This scholarship will profoundly impact my educational pursuits. It allows me to focus on my projects and studies, rather than worrying about how to cover college expenses. I am immensely thankful for the support from the Alumni. Your contributions have a lasting effect on students like me, enabling us to strive for success and make our families and the alumni proud.”
---Ty Russell, Class of 2024
