In the 1976 Bicentennial year, it felt like Lisle (and the whole country) was alive with celebration. In Lisle, we painted fire hydrants, staged a town production of 1776 (with cast/class members Maria Esposito, Joe Garbe and Tim Sharnagle). We trekked across the open field after Mr. LeCrone released students from school to welcome the Bicentennial Wagon Train as it rolled down Maple Avenue. It was a year when the country looked back at its history, and we – the Class of 1976 – were just beginning to write ours. Fast-forward 50 years, and we’re ready to celebrate another milestone. The Lisle High School Class of 1976 is marking the 50th anniversary of our senior year during the Blue & White: Reunite! All-Years Reunion on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Krasa Center on the Benedictine University campus. You might wonder: Why celebrate alongside the All-Years Reunion instead of hosting a separate gathering next year? The answer is simple – we want the best of both worlds. 🤝 Bigger Connections, Bigger Fun
First, the All-Years Reunion brings together hundreds of Lisle alumni from every decade. It’s a chance to reconnect not only with our classmates but also with friends from other classes – neighbors, teammates, siblings and those who shared our small-school hometown experience even if they graduated before or after us. It makes for a bigger, more festive celebration. 🦁 A Special Space and Get-together Just for ’76 Second, having our 50-year milestone woven into the All-Years Reunion ensures that our class still has its own special place. We’ll have a dedicated Class of ’76 space at the Krasa Center where we can gather, reminisce and make new memories together. And to kick off the weekend, we’re planning a Friday night get-together just for our class – details will be posted on the Lisle Class of ’76 Reunion Facebook page or by email by filling out a Google form. ✈️ One Trip, One Celebration Third, celebrating now—during the All-Years Reunion—makes it easier for everyone, especially classmates traveling from out of town. Instead of asking people to choose between two big trips (an all-years reunion in 2025 and a class-only reunion in 2026), this combined celebration gives us one can’t-miss opportunity to come together. '76 Honoring Our Bicentennial Spirit Finally, celebrating together at the All-Years Reunion feels true to who we are. The Bicentennial year taught us about legacy, pride and connection. Coming together now – half a century later – honors not just our class but also the larger Lisle community that shaped us. So whether you’ve kept in touch over the years or it’s been decades since you’ve seen a fellow Lion, this is the moment for the Class of ’76 to come back. Bring your stories, your photos and your memories of 1976. Together, let’s celebrate where we’ve been, where we are and the lifelong bond of being part of Lisle High School’s Class of ’76. Go Lions! – Lisle Class of ’76 Reunion Planning Committee We all had that movie — the one that seemed to play on a loop in our minds or defined a generation of Lisle Lions. Whether it was a coming-of-age classic, a summer blockbuster, or that quirky cult favorite, there’s a good chance it’s tied to a special moment in your Lisle High School journey. So let’s have some fun: What movie helped shape your high school years at LHS? Was it The Breakfast Club or Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in the ’80s? Titanic or Clueless in the ’90s? Maybe Mean Girls, Remember the Titans, or Superbad ruled your era? Or something totally different? 🎥 Drop your movie memory in the comments or on social media and tag us — and don’t forget to include your graduation year! Let’s see which films made the biggest splash across the decades of Lisle Lions. 💙 Blue & White: Reunite! The 6th Lisle High School All-Years Reunion is Here! Final exams and who was bringing the stereo to the weekend get-together. 🔗 Learn more: www.CarlinNalleyFoundation.org The Carlin Nalley Foundation is proud to announce the return of Nickole Lanham (Class of 1996) to our Board of Directors. After taking some time away to focus on personal business, Nickole was unanimously voted back onto the board on August 4, 2025 — and we couldn’t be happier to have her leadership, vision, and energy back in the fold. Nickole’s educational journey began right here in the Lisle School District, which she describes as having shaped her academics, athletics, and artistic pursuits while instilling core values of perseverance, honesty, and fairness. “I feel fortunate and prideful that the Lisle School District has been an intimate part of my life and the lives of my family for decades. These were, indeed, formative years and values for which I am grateful.” After graduating from LHS, Nickole went on to earn her BA from THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA (2000) and her MFA from ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY (2006). Today, she serves as the Gallery Director for three galleries at North Central College, where she curates, manages, and champions the visual arts. Nickole’s deep respect for Lisle’s traditions is clear: “The Carlin Nalley Foundation is aptly named. As a foundation, it is the underpinning that supports these important values that are a part of Lisle's tradition. I feel honored that I might have some small part in helping to advance these important values and see them flourish.” Beyond the BoardroomIn addition to her board duties, Nickole has enthusiastically joined the All-Years Reunion Committee, helping to plan the upcoming celebration: Blue & White: Reunite! – Lisle All-Years Reunion 📅 Saturday, October 18, 2025 📍 Newly Renovated Krasa Center, Benedictine University Her passion for community and her ability to bring people together make her an invaluable part of the reunion planning team.
