“Over the course of the last year, Lisle Senior High School and District 202 have renewed efforts to recognize and remember those members of our Lisle family who have given their lives for their country. We are grateful to partner with the Carlin Nalley Foundation to honor all the men and women of our armed services and those Lisle alums who have made the extreme sacrifice,” said Jeffrey Howard, Principal Lisle Senior High School
The Carlin Naley Foundation sponsored the event in conjunction with the Alumni Night football game.
“Over the summer at a meeting with the Mr. Dillard, LHS Principal Jeff Howard, and District 202 Superintendent Keith Filipiak, Jay Grochowski (co-founder and past president of the Carlin Nalley Foundation) and I agreed that we would collaborate with Lisle High School on an Alumni Night at a fall football game. We wanted to build off the tremendously successful event we partnered with in 2013. We recognized Lisle’s first champions the 1963 football team, honored some of Lisle's most successful athletes, sports teams, and veterans in conjunction with our third All Years Reunion. The focus for 2015 is honoring a specific group of these Lisle heroes: our armed services veterans, explained John Bartels President of the Carlin Nalley Foundation.”
A moving tribute to the 5 Lisle Alumni lost in military service of the United States. The ceremony was performed by the Lisle High School band under the direction of Scott Gumina. Alumni Night, Lisle/Herscher Football game, October 9th, 2015.
